Conversational avatars on Proto hologram devices will help attendees navigate the summit, learn about sponsors, and discover Milwaukee

As part of the sponsorship, CodeBaby will provide two conversational AI avatars displayed on Proto hologram devices, giving attendees a firsthand opportunity to experience how AI can make information more accessible through natural conversation.

ReFRESH brings together leaders from the public, private, and academic sectors to explore new approaches to some of the water industry’s most persistent challenges, including aging infrastructure, AI guardrails, workforce shortages, and climate pressure. The 2026 summit will take place at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s lakefront.

Throughout the summit, attendees will encounter two CodeBaby avatars designed to serve different purposes. The first will be located at the reception area and serve as an interactive summit guide. Attendees can ask the avatars questions about the agenda, speakers, sessions, Discovery World, and event logistics, using natural conversation rather than searching through a printed program or website.

A second avatar will be featured during the summit’s networking event, where it will help attendees learn more about event sponsors and explore Milwaukee. Guests will be able to ask for recommendations about restaurants, attractions, and places to visit, including recommendations connected to summit sponsors when appropriate.
