MAPLE GROVE, MN, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Village Program®, Grace Management, Inc.’s proprietary Memory Care program, has received updated recognition from the Alzheimer’s Association following a comprehensive curriculum review.
The recognition confirms that The Village Program® training incorporates the Alzheimer’s Association’s evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations across key areas including Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.
The Village Program® is Grace Management’s specialized approach to supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Through personalized care plans and programming reflective of residents’ histories, routines, abilities, and interests, the program is designed to preserve dignity, encourage meaningful engagement, and provide individualized support.
“Village Orientation is much more than a required training,” said Ashlea Smalley, EdD, Vice President of Resident Experience for Grace Management. “It is the foundation for building confidence, empathy, and expertise in caring for people living with dementia. When our associates receive exceptional training, residents experience more meaningful days, families have greater confidence in our care, and our teams feel empowered to make a difference every day.”
Grace Management continues to invest in The Village Program® and in providing team members with the training, knowledge, and resources to support residents living with memory impairment. By combining established dementia care practices with an individualized approach, The Village Program® provides a consistent framework for Memory Care across Grace Management communities while remaining responsive to the unique needs of each resident.
“The Alzheimer’s Association is pleased that Grace Management, Inc. is aligning its training program with our Dementia Care Practice Recommendations,” said Maggie Cattell, Associate Director of Care Professional Programs for the Alzheimer’s Association. “By taking this step, Grace Management, Inc. has demonstrated their commitment to providing evidence-based training with a person-centered focus at its core.”
